Privacy Statement
ProcedureReady is designed with patient privacy as a core principle. This kiosk operates in anonymous mode — no personally identifiable health information (PHI) is collected, stored, or transmitted.
What data is collected
- Anonymous session identifiers — randomly generated IDs with no link to patient identity
- Quiz responses and scores — used to measure comprehension and guide staff handoff
- Reading level selection — used to adapt content complexity
- Interaction timestamps — session start/end, section views, quiz completion times
- Language preference — English or Spanish selection
What data is NOT collected
- Patient names, dates of birth, or medical record numbers
- Diagnoses, treatment plans, or clinical notes
- Location data, device identifiers, or IP addresses
- Photographs, biometric data, or audio recordings
Data retention
Anonymous session data is automatically purged after 90 days. Aggregate analytics (completion rates, quiz averages) are retained indefinitely but contain no individual-level data.
Cookies and local storage
- Session cookie — essential for maintaining your progress through the education module. Expires when the session ends or after 20 minutes of inactivity.
- Service worker cache — stores application files locally for faster loading. No personal data is cached.
No third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies are used.
Third-party services
- Fonts — the Lexend typeface is self-hosted on our servers. No third-party font services are used, and no data is sent to external font providers.
- AI-generated content — some educational content may be generated using AI services. All AI content is reviewed by clinical staff before publication and tagged as AI-generated.
End of session
Use the "Clear session" button at the end of each visit. This immediately removes all session data from the kiosk. Sessions also auto-clear after 10 minutes of inactivity.
